Confidentiality Commitment
PIYemen treats all client information, engagement details, and findings with the highest level of discretion. The firm's confidentiality commitment encompasses the following principles:
- Client Identity: The identity of PIYemen's clients is not disclosed to any third party without explicit client authorization, except where required by applicable law.
- Engagement Details: The nature, scope, and subject matter of client engagements are treated as strictly confidential and are not discussed outside the engagement team.
- Findings: All findings, reports, and intelligence produced during an engagement are the property of the client and are not shared with any third party without explicit client authorization.
- Data Retention: Client data and engagement records are retained only for the period necessary to fulfill the engagement and any applicable legal retention requirements, after which they are securely disposed of.
Compliance Framework
PIYemen's compliance framework governs all aspects of the firm's operations, from engagement acceptance through to report delivery. Key elements of the compliance framework include:
- Engagement Screening: All potential engagements are screened for legal, ethical, and reputational risk before acceptance. PIYemen declines engagements that would require unlawful or unethical conduct.
- Legal Compliance: All investigative and intelligence activities are conducted within the boundaries of applicable Yemeni law and relevant international legal frameworks.
- Professional Standards: All engagements are conducted in accordance with established professional standards for investigative and intelligence work.
- Quality Assurance: All reports are subject to internal quality assurance review before delivery to ensure accuracy, neutrality, and compliance with professional standards.
Data Handling
PIYemen handles all personal and corporate data collected during engagements in accordance with the following principles:
- Data is collected only to the extent necessary for the specific engagement.
- Data is used only for the purpose for which it was collected.
- Data is not shared with third parties without authorization.
- Data is retained only for the period necessary and then securely disposed of.
- Reasonable security measures are applied to protect data from unauthorized access.
Conflict of Interest
PIYemen maintains a conflict of interest policy that requires disclosure of any potential conflicts before engagement acceptance. Where a conflict of interest cannot be managed, PIYemen will decline the engagement. The firm does not simultaneously represent parties with adverse interests in the same matter.
